Vacant eyes stare into the dark stormy sky,
In search of a dream that will ease the loneliness,
In hopes that the emptiness that burns deep inside
Will fade into the shadows of the night.

The pale moonlight pours down below,
Revealing a path that leads away from the darkness,
Showing a way that escapes from the icy fear
That lingers in the chilly air.

The stars fill the sky with promise,
Calming the relentless storms that drench weary eyes,
Offering endless hope and freedom
To dream of the impossible.

The sun is rising in the distance,
Swirls of rich colors appear above the horizon,
Flooding the sky with a glowing light
That overpowers the blinding darkness.
